Cosmetologist
Esthetician
Manicurist
Required Hours:
Barber: 1000 Barber School Hours (2000 Apprentice)
Cosmetologist: 1500 Beauty School Hours (2000 Apprentice)
Esthetician: 300 Esthetics School Hours
Manicurist: 150 Nail School Hours
License Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
Reciprocity:
Granted to applicants who hold a license in states whose requirements are equal to or greater than Vermont.
Renewal:
Vermont cosmetology licenses are valid for two years. Currently only instructors are required to complete continuing education hours to renew. To renew your license in Vermont, the following are required by the VT cosmetology board:
