Barber
Cosmetologist
Electrologist
Esthetician, Master Esthetician
Nail Technologist
Required Hours:
Barber, Cosmetologist: 2000 Cosmetology School Hours (2500 Apprentice)
Electrologist: 500 Electrolysis Training Hours
Esthetician: 600 Esthetics School Hours
Master Esthetician: 1200 Esthetics School Hours
Nail Technologist: 200 Nail School Hours
License Requirements:
No minimum age or education requirements on file.
Reciprocity:
Granted to applicants from states with requirements which are substantially equal to those of Utah.
Renewal:
Utah cosmetology licenses must be renewed every two years, by September 30 of odd-numbered years. There are no continuing education requirements for renewal at this time. To renew your license in Utah, the following must be submitted to the UT cosmetology board:
