Nebraska Nail Training Requirements
The Nebraska State Board of Cosmetology Examiners regulates nail tech licensing in Nebraska. They require a student complete an approved nail tech school consisting of at least 150 hours of education, but not more than 300 hours. At least 16 of those hours must cover the use of nail drills. Students in nail tech school will learn to cut, shape and polish nails, and to apply artificial nails to their clients. They will learn the basic techniques of giving pedicures and manicures.
