Georgia Nail Training Requirements

Students who wish to become nail technicians in Georgia have two options to become licensed. The first is to complete a cosmetology class of at least 525 credit hours over 4 months at an accredited cosmetology school. The other option is to apprentice to a licensed manicurist for 1050 hours and a minimum of 8 months. Students must pass both a written and a practical exam after completing either school or the apprentice program.
