Licenses Available:
Cosmetologist
Hairdresser
Aesthetician
Manicurist
Electrologist
Required Hours:
Aesthetician: 300 Esthetics School Hours
Cosmetologist/Hairdresser: 1000 Cosmetology School Hours
Electrologist: 1100 Electrolysis Training Hours (Exams 2x Per Year)
Manicurist: 100 Nail School Hours
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 17 years of age.
Must have at least 10th grade education.
Reciprocity:
Applicant holds a current license from another state, and has a minimum of two years work experience.
Renewal:
Massachusetts beauty professionals are required to renew their licenses every two years on the licensee's birthday. The following are required to renew your license in Massachusetts:
