At American School of Hair Design, we have been teaching students the essentials of cosmetology artistry for over a decade.

Founded in 1995, American School of Hair Design strives to prepare students for a career in cosmetology. We can provide you with the marketable skills needed for an entry-level career in hair design or nail technology.

Our facility contains classrooms, labs, a student lounge and a library. Our labs are fully-equipped so students can practice their skills on mannequins and clients, under the supervision of instructors.

Programs
Our training programs combine classroom training with hands-on experience in our professional clinic. This allows you the opportunity to improve your skill in a variety of techniques. As you continue to work with clients, you can gain experience and confidence. We can train you in the field of your choice:

• Cosmetology - Discover the fun and exciting world of cosmetology. It's more than just cutting hair. It's an art form, transforming hair and bringing out inner beauty. We teach basic procedures including hair design, color, cutting, styling and chemistry. Our Cosmetology program also includes basic training in skin care and manicuring.
• Nail Technology - Shape your destiny with a career in nail technology. Our program can provide you with the basics in nail design, care and practice. You can also learn pedicure procedures as well as hand and arm massage.

We also emphasize motivation, dedication and the cultivation of a strong professional attitude. These are required for success in the cosmetology field.

Licensing
American School of Hair Design is licensed by the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology.
